4. Mistakes Will Happen. That's Okay!
Just a friendly reminder that making mistakes is part of growth!
Whether you are taking on a leadership role for the first time, or for the fifth time, you may run into some obstacles you have never faced before. You may even make some mistakes along the way, but that is OKAY!
Unfortunately, there is a strong stigma about making mistakes. In my experience, making mistakes tends to be correlated with trying something new. We cannot be experts at everything new we try, so it is only logical to understand that not having a full grasp of what you are doing is perfectly natural. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but making more mistakes has the potential to make you a more experienced person than someone that does not take chances or new challenges.
You want to be able to continue to grow; not only as a person but as a student as well. That means you will have to push beyond just whatever you are used to. You may even have to push beyond the confines of your comfort zone. To navigate through uncharted territories and be okay with making those mistakes is all a part of the growth process!
